The staff at Pioneer Carpet One Floor & Home are proving that home is where you hang your hat with an ongoing fundraiser aimed at helping injured veterans enjoy all the comforts of home.
Since mid-September, store members have encouraged customers, neighbors, and friends to “Buy a Hat, Build a House,” in support of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The national nonprofit provides mortgage-free, customized Smart Homes to former servicemen and women coping with life-altering injuries, as well as first responders. Store staff vowed to match the price of each $25 hat towards this very worthy cause.
Partnering up with KiBa, which already offers a $500 discount for all first responders, Pioneer Carpet One has raised over $520 in sales to date of Tunnel to Towers baseball caps.
The local outreach, which is planned to continue throughout the month of October, was recently announced with much fanfare when the region’s largest American flag was unfurled in Twin Falls’ canyon.
Local friends are encouraged to stop by the store and purchase their very own hat: the perfect gift for the upcoming holidays.
